UPDATE 6/30/20: It is come to my attention that Agnes & Dora closed their business down and then reopened. I have not purchased anything from them in a long time and have no thoughts on their new, direct shopping platform which no longer involves sales reps.

I've recently discovered a fun line of clothing, called Agnes & Dora. Rep Amy DeLozier reached out to me after seeing so many of my Instagram posts about my love of LuLaRoe. She thought I might really like Agnes & Dora and offered to send me a few pieces to try out. Well, she was sooo right.....I'm totally loving the pieces that I've had a chance to try. Everything is super cute, stylish and most of all COMFY!
Amy was awesome enough to also sponsor a $100 giveaway to her Agnes & Dora shop for one lucky follower too! More giveaway details later in this post.
Agnes & Dora is a women's and children's clothing line sold via individual consultants, through in-home parties, Facebook shopping groups and online shopping links, very similarly to LuLaRoe.
Amy sent me a pencil skirt, a pair of super, soft leggings, a Curie dress and the Muse top to try out.
For starters, Amy knows that I love my Cassie pencil skirts from LLR, so she sent me a comparable version from A&D. It's a gorgeous, bright green and I'm in love. It's soft and stretchy, so it's uber comfy. I'm 5'5" and it's a little long on me, but I just pull it up a littler heigher on my waist and then it fits perfect! I may decide to have it hemmed a little at a later date, but for now it's become a regular staple in my wardrobe as is. It's versatile enough to wear to work and is also great for casual, every day use too. I can't wait to wear it this fall paired with boots and a blanket scarf too! I'm about a size 14 and went with a XL. It's a little loose, but fits really well. I was afraid a smaller size might be too snug, since I'm a bit bootylicious.
I'm learning that LLR isn't the only comfy, legging game in town any more and let me tell you, my Agnes & Dora leggings are just as buttery soft, as comfy as LLR and they cost a little less too. These cute, black and pink butterfly, floral leggings are so fun. I wear a size L in A&D leggings (TC in LLR for comparison).
The Curie dress is total awesome-sauce! It's midi length with a v-neck and 3/4 length selves. It fits me like a glove AND has POCKETS!! I love a dress with pockets. It's made from a slinky, soft fabric that has a lot of stretch and is just so flattering! I initially thought it might be too long on me, but after trying it on again I reliaized that I actually really like it! I am definitely going to be looking for more prints in this style for sure! The one I'm wearing is a large.
Lastly, I tried the Muse top. This is another style that I for sure want in more colors/patterns. It's a flowy, tunic top made from super soft fabric and is gorgeous! It looked a little big so I decided to try a size medium, which is a size smaller than I would usually wear in tops, and it was actually perfect.
I'm so glad Amy reached out. I had seen Agnes & Dora online a little while back, but was hesitant to try it out not being familiar with quality and sizing. Amy was super helpful in helping me figure out sizing and I'm very impressed with the quality of everything I've tried so far. I like that Agnes & Dora offers a few more styles than LuLaRoe and the patterns are a bit more modern and stylish overall. Don't get me wrong, I still love my LuLaRoe, but the patterns have gotten a little crazy lately and the quality isn't consistent (full LLR review I previously posted here).
Another thing I prefer about A&D over LLR is there appears to be more stock in items so there isn't as much craziness tying to locate hard to find, popular solids, patterns and/or "unicorn" prints. Like LLR, A&D has an abundance of fun prints/styles, it just seems easier to find pieces you like from A&D without having to spend endless hours hunting through countless rep's inventory. Below is a sizing chart to help you navigate some of the items in their line.
Fear not, I'll still be a LuLaRoe lover, I'm just also so happy to have found Agnes & Dora. I see lots more A&D in my future and can't wait to try more styles. If you have a favorite A&D piece or Rep let me know in the comments below!
