In the 8+ years that I’ve been wearing Tieks (the most amazingly, comfortable ballet flat on the planet), I’ve hunted for the perfect sock or insert to wear with them that is truly no-show, doesn’t slip and that was thin enough to not stretch them out. I’ve tried several socks and liners over the years, and while some brands may work for other flats, I’ve always struggled to find the perfect pair to wear specifically in my Tieks. That is, until I found Sheec Socks! If you’re a Tieks lover, you’re going to need these in your life!
I first heard about Sheec Socks through a fellow blogger I follow, Dr. Jessica Louie of Petite Style Script. She’s also a Tieks lover and a huge fan of Sheec Socks. After trying them out for myself, I can say with complete confidence that I’m a total convert!
I’ve tried just about every no-show sock you can find. You name it, brand names, no-name brands and everything in between. None of the ones I’ve tried were ever low profile enough to not show while wearing my Tieks and would either slip off, were too thick or just weren’t comfy. I did wear Peds for a while, but they needed constant adjustment and I just wasn’t a big fan.
Giving up hope on finding amazing no-show socks, I decided to try out some liners. Initially, I found one I liked called Sole Socks. They are are terry cloth liners that can be washed. I ultimately called it quits on my Sole Socks because they were a little on the thick side and after wearing them long term, I found that they stretched out my Tieks way too much (que new pair of Fuschia Tieks)!
Some Tieks girls like Gekks liners, but I’ve never tried them because, they have an adhesive on the bottom that sticks to the insole of your shoes and I was too worried they would ruin my Tieks. Plus, after my experience with Sole Socks, I have been leery to try any other liners, worried they would also stretch out my Tieks too much!
Thankfully, I found Sheec Socks and their Sole Hugger Technology solved all my sock issues! I know, first world problems, lol! But seriously, Sheec Ultra Low-cut Socks are literally the most perfect, no-show socks ever to wear with Tieks. Made of cotton, nylon and a polyester spandex blend, Sheec Socks are super thin, extremely comfy and the best part is, they absolutely can’t be seen while wearing my Tieks!!!
The cotton sole helps absorb sweat, the nylon sides are good for stretch, and the silicone grips by the toes and heels help Sheec Socks stay put on my feet. Seriously, they do not slip off at all, no matter how long I wear them! I’ve turned the socks inside out in the photo below so you can see the silicone grips better.
Sheec Socks are easy to care for and can be thrown in the washing machine. I do dry mine on low heat, but please note, Sheec suggests air drying them to ensure they last.
As for sizing, my shoe size ranges between an 8.5 to a 9. Medium in the Ultra Low-cut style fit me perfectly. Use the Sheec size chart below to figure out which size is right for you.
So far, I’ve only tried the Ultra Low-cut style, but Sheec carries several different styles to meet all your no-show sock needs. Not sure which pair is best for you? Check out their handy chart with detailed comparisons of the entire Sheec collection.
