Father's Day is just around the corner. I don't know about you, but buying gifts for my dad is always difficult. Dad's are just hard to buy for period, at least my dad is. He doesn't need much and whenever he does need something, he'll just go out and buy it. With some thought and planning, I do come up with a few fun ideas. I find that sometimes, it's easier to come with a theme and piece together a few smaller items rather than try to find one big thing. Below are a few themed ideas I've used before that are easy to put together and perfect for the men in your life.
BBQ/Grill Dad
Is your dad or hubby a great cook or master of the grill? Try putting together the perfect grill or BBQ kit. I like to look for fun grilling spices, sauces or marinades and then add in some fun new grill accessories. Meat markers are pretty neat to use so dad can keep everyone's meat preferences in order while at the grill. New grill tools are always a hit and you can take it up a notch by ordering some fun personalized ones. Cedar or hickory grilling planks make a good addition too. Smoker boxes and wood chips will turn any regular gas or electric grill into a smoker.
Golf Dad
If your dad or hubby is a golfer, a golf gift basket would be perfect. Consider getting him a gift certificate to a course he likes. Add in some personalized golf markers, golf balls or golf tees and you're all set!
Beer Dad
If your dad or hubby is a beer guy then try getting him a personalized dad beer glass, a craft beer of the month membership, a funny t-shirt and some fun beer nuts or snack mix. The craft beer of the month club is fun because you can sign up for how ever many months you want. 1 month starts at about $42 and you can add more on to that if you want. You could also see if there are any local breweries near you and set up a brewery tour.
Music Dad
For the man who loves music, think of picking up concert tickets to his favorite band/group. You can also purchase fun concert t-shirts online. Google concert t-shirt and you'ld be surprised how many retailers carry inexpensive concert shirts. Even places like Target, Old Navy and Macy's usually carry a few concert t-shirts. If he plays guitar, then personalized guitar picks are fun. Considering framing his favorite album cover or look on Etsy for fun artwork.
Sentimental Dad
Is your dad or hubby a big softy? Etsy has so many great gift ideas for the sentimental guy. One year, I bought my hubby a new wedding ring with mine and my son's fingerprints on it. There are tons of great personalized key rings on Etsy too. Another great idea is a personalized wallet card. You can write whatever you want on them and your guy will always carry a piece of your heart in his wallet. Etsy also has tons of great dad signs. Just search dad sign and see what comes up or even make your own.
Beach/Pool Dad
Beach accessories will ensure your beach bum has a perfect day in the sun while at the beach or hanging by the pool. A monogramed insulated bottled beer cooler will keep you guy's beverage ice cold and every beach bum needs a bluetooth, waterproof speaker for their favorite tunes. A wheeled cooler and Tommy Bahama chair are perfect beach accessories too. Grab a new beach bag and throw in some sunblock, sunglasses and big towel too!
